I teach at bachelor’s, master’s, PhD and DBA levels. My courses combine academic research, managerial tools and case-based applications, with a strong emphasis on decision-making and real organizational problems.

Current Teaching

Innovation Management

This course examines how organizations identify, select and implement innovation opportunities. It covers innovation strategy, business models, organizational design, new product development and the management of technological change.

Managerial Control

This course focuses on how organizations use control systems, performance measures and cost information to support decision-making, coordinate activities and align operational actions with strategic objectives.

Strategy and Decision-Making

This course examines how managers formulate strategy and make decisions under uncertainty. It addresses competitive positioning, resource allocation, strategic choice and the organizational consequences of managerial decisions.

Business Research Strategies

This course introduces the main principles of research in business and management. It emphasizes research design, the scientific method and the practical application of research methods to real managerial problems.

International

I have had the opportunity to teach students and executives across Europe, North America and Asia, at bachelor’s, master’s, PhD and DBA levels.

My international teaching experience spans more than 20 countries, including Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Austria, Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Azerbaijan, Finland, Norway, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, Japan, Vietnam, China and Armenia.

These experiences have exposed me to very different educational systems, institutional contexts and approaches to management, and they strongly inform the way I teach and discuss managerial problems.

Supervision

Supervising students is an important part of my academic activity.

I supervise research at bachelor’s, master’s, PhD and DBA levels, with a particular interest in projects that combine theoretical ambition with concrete managerial and organizational problems.

Teaching Philosophy

My objective is to make rigorous management knowledge understandable and useful. Theory provides the foundations, while cases, examples and discussion help students understand when and how this knowledge can be applied.
